Purposes of Data Processing
Our services include the tracking and indexing of information published on the internet with public character. This means that, basically, we work like a search engine (eg Google, Bing, Yahoo …). On the other hand, in certain cases, we contract services from third parties with the same purpose. All this information is part of our main activity, so we offer our customers access to this information and its analysis. We do not make decisions about people based on the data collected and analyzes performed.
Use of data
Going into detail, we can collect the following raw data:
- Name, surname, user name and any other user ID.
- Publications made with your user ID.
- Images or videos related to your user ID.
- Profession and / or job position.
- All information that you share publicly on a web page or social network.
After carrying out our analysis operations on the indicated data, we can establish a profile with additional information. This information is obtained through the application of algorithms that cross all the information collected. For example, if you publish content about soccer habitually, we can understand that you are fond of soccer. And if these publications are about a particular football club, we can conclude that you are a follower of that club.
It is our obligation to expressly indicate the legal grounds that allow us to process all these data. In accordance with the General Regulation of Data Protection of the European Union; as well as with the Article 29 Working Group Guidelines, Websays is entitled to process the data collected on the basis of a ‘legitimate interest’. Specifically, our services consist in offering our clients all the possible information available on the internet, within the framework of the law, in relation to their legitimate interests (eg reputation, branding, marketing, market trends study, feeling towards your brand and other brands, etc.).
That is why we make sure that our clients respect privacy with the same commitment that we indicate in this Policy. However, we are not responsible in the event that any of our customers make improper or excessive use of the data. Similarly, we are not responsible for incidents caused by unauthorized access by third parties. In any case, any safety incident will be communicated to the relevant authorities as quickly as possible.
We keep the data for the time strictly necessary to offer our services. In any case, all data that is deleted from the original source will be deleted from our database. As an exception to the above, we may be obliged to keep the data in compliance with a law, court order or requirement of any official supervising entity for the processing of personal data.
All the data communications that Websays carries out are managed in accordance with the minimum security protocols required for data encryption. In this way, we minimize to the maximum the possibility that a third party outside our services accesses the information. However, it is necessary to indicate that technical security in a medium such as the Internet is not impregnable, so there could be unlawful actions by third parties outside WEBSAYS INTELLIGENCE, S.L.
In the case of third party actions, WEBSAYS INTELLIGENCE, S.L. is not responsible for these. However, Websays undertakes to provide all the necessary information so that those responsible for the damage can be determined and held responsible.
